Window and Appearance Settings
MuteDeck v4.13 can show its window automatically during meetings. Window behavior is configured in Settings → General; visual preferences are in Settings → Appearance.
Show the Window During Meetings
- Open Settings → General.
- Enable Show window during meetings. It is off by default.
- Join a meeting in a supported app.
The MuteDeck window appears when the meeting is detected, without taking keyboard focus away from your meeting app. When the meeting ends, it waits a few seconds so you can see the controls turn grey, then hides.
If the window was already open, or you opened it yourself during the meeting, it stays open afterward. This setting only hides a window that MuteDeck opened automatically.
If it does not appear, first check that MuteDeck detects your meeting.
Other Window Options
In Settings → General:
- Open window on start opens the window when MuteDeck starts.
- Keep window on top keeps the controls above other windows.
- Menu bar icon click on macOS, or Tray icon click on Windows, chooses whether a left-click opens the menu, opens MuteDeck, or toggles mute. Right-click always opens the menu.
Appearance
In Settings → Appearance:
- Show a popup when an action is taken controls action notifications.
- Show mute status in tray when in calls displays mute status in the tray or menu bar.
- Swap status colors (red when live) changes how status colors are used.
- Briefly show when the microphone is being used controls the microphone-use indicator.
