Connecting Devices (Stream Deck, Loupedeck, TouchPortal)

Connect your Stream Deck, Loupedeck, TouchPortal, or other devices to control MuteDeck.

Stream Deck​

Control your meetings directly from your Elgato Stream Deck.

Installation​

  1. Download the plugin from the Elgato Stream Deck Marketplace
  2. Stream Deck software will automatically install the plugin
  3. Restart Stream Deck software if prompted

Setup​

  1. Drag MuteDeck actions from the Actions panel to your Stream Deck keys
  2. Available actions:
    • Mute, Video, Share, Record, Leave Meeting
    • Custom Actions, either built-in or custom ones you've created
  3. Customize button appearance by clicking the button on the Stream Deck
    • Change the icon
    • Showing/hiding text labels, which textually show the current state (e.g., "Muted", "Unmuted")
    • Adjust the action type; is it a toggle or an desired state action? (e.g. pressing the button will toggle mute, or it will always mute when pressed)

Button States​

  • Bright: Feature is active (e.g., unmuted, video on)
  • Red Strike-through: Feature is inactive (e.g., muted, video off)
  • Gray: No meeting detected, feature unavailable, or MuteDeck app not running

Loupedeck​

Integrate MuteDeck with your Loupedeck CT, Live, or other Loupedeck device.

Installation​

  1. Download the plugin from the Loupedeck Marketplace
    • If the direct link does not work, open the Loupedeck software and search for "MuteDeck" in the Marketplace.
  2. Click Install on the plugin page
  3. Plugin will appear in your actions list

Setup​

  1. Drag MuteDeck actions to your Loupedeck buttons or touchscreen
  2. Customize appearance using Loupedeck's interface
  3. Test functionality by joining a meeting and pressing controls

TouchPortal​

Use MuteDeck with TouchPortal on iOS, Android, or Windows devices.

Plugin Installation​

  1. Download the plugin from mutedeck.com/downloads
  2. Open TouchPortal settings (gear icon)
  3. Click "Import plug-in"
  4. Select the downloaded .tpp file
  5. Click "Trust Always" when prompted

Page Template (Optional)​

For a quick start, download our pre-made page template:

  1. Download the page template from mutedeck.com/downloads
  2. In TouchPortal, click the page settings gear icon
  3. Select "Import page"
  4. Choose the downloaded .tpz file
  5. Ready-to-use MuteDeck page will be created

API Integration​

For developers or advanced users wanting custom integrations, MuteDeck provides a local API. Popular use cases include Home Automation, custom scripts, or third-party app integrations.

Local API​

MuteDeck runs a local API server at http://localhost:3491 when active.

Troubleshooting Device Connections​

Stream Deck Issues​

  • Yellow triangle on button: Restart Stream Deck software
  • Plugin not appearing: Reinstall plugin and restart the Stream Deck (or Loupedeck) software
  • Buttons not responding: Check that MuteDeck is running

General Device Issues​

  • Only mute is working: Ensure MuteDeck is running and licensed
  • Delayed response: Normal 0.5-second delay for system resource optimization
  • Device not detected: Check device-specific software is running and updated
