MuteDeck works with all major video conferencing platforms. Here's what's supported and how to get the best experience.

Desktop Applications

Zoom

  • Languages: 🇩🇪 🇬🇧 🇪🇸 🇫🇷 🇮🇩 🇮🇹 🇯🇵 🇰🇷 🇳🇱 🇵🇱 🇵🇹 🇷🇺 🇹🇷 🇻🇳
  • Features: Full control (mute, video, share, record, leave)
  • Requirements: "Always show meeting controls" must be enabled

Microsoft Teams Classic

  • Languages: 🇬🇧 (English only for UI detection)
  • Features: Full control with Third-Party API integration
  • Setup: Enable API in Teams settings for best experience
  • Alternative: All languages supported when using Third-Party API

Microsoft Teams (New/v2)

  • Languages: All languages supported
  • Features: Full control with Third-Party API integration
  • Setup: Requires pairing process in Teams settings

Discord

  • Languages: All languages supported
  • Features: Full control with API integration
  • Setup: Requires pairing process using a Discord app

Cisco Webex

  • Languages: 🇬🇧 (English only)
  • Features: Basic control (may have limitations)
  • Note: Cisco actively works against third-party apps - functionality not guaranteed

Web-based Applications

Requires browser extension (Chrome / Firefox):

Google Meet, Zoom (Web), Microsoft Teams (Web)

  • Languages: All languages supported
  • Features: Full control
  • Platform: Works in any Chromium-based browser or Firefox

StreamYard, Riverside.FM, Stream

  • Languages: 🇬🇧 (English only)
  • Features: Basic control
  • Platform: Works in any Chromium-based browser or Firefox

Fallback Mode

For any other video conferencing app not listed above:

  • Microphone Control: MuteDeck can still mute/unmute your system microphone
  • Visual Feedback: Shows mute status based on system microphone state
  • Universal Compatibility: Works with any app (Discord, Slack, Skype, etc.)

Platform Requirements

Windows

  • OS: Windows 10 (version 1903) or later, Windows 11
  • Architecture: x64, ARM64

macOS

  • OS: macOS 10.15 (Catalina) or later
  • Architecture: Intel and Apple Silicon (M1/M2/M3)
  • Permissions: Requires Accessibility and Automation permissions

Browser Requirements

For web-based meetings:

Supported Browsers

  • Chrome (and Chromium-based browsers like Brave, Vivaldi, Arc Browser, etc.)
  • Firefox

Extension Notes

  • Extensions auto-update but can be manually updated if needed
  • For Brave browser: Disable Shields for localhost and meeting domains
  • Extensions require permissions for page access and browsing history (for bring-to-front feature)
