# Customizing The Stream Deck Icons, And More!
Happy New Year! I hope you had a wonderful holiday season and are excited about all that 2023 has in store.
With the first MuteDeck update in 2023, I’ve got some exciting news for all Stream Deck users. The MuteDeck Plugin version 4.0 is now available, and it includes the most requested feature: making it possible to use your own icons!
The above screenshot has example custom icons, and you can make it your own by following the step-by-step instructions that are posted in the Help Center (opens new window). There’s also a video walkthrough.
But that's not all. I’ve also included a message that lets you know whether the plugin is connected to MuteDeck. This will help you troubleshoot any potential issues more quickly and easily.
And last but not least, I’ve increased the speed at which button updates happen. Previously, a button press had a small (0,5-1 second) delay between the press and the icon update. Now, it’s instant. ⚡

P.s. quick Microsoft Teams update: it’s working! After weeks of reverse engineering Teams, I found a way to make Teams behave predictably so that MuteDeck can control it. In a week or two, expect a new MuteDeck version.
