GreenSignal Privacy Policy

GreenSignal is a macOS and Windows app made by Lostdomain ("we," "us"), the team behind MuteDeck. We built GreenSignal to run entirely on your Mac and Windows PC. This policy explains what it does and does not do with your information. The short version: we don't collect your personal data, and your camera and microphone never leave your device.
What we collect
Nothing about you. GreenSignal has no accounts, no sign-in, and no analytics or tracking. We do not collect, store, or transmit your personal information, and we have no servers that receive your data.
Camera and microphone
GreenSignal uses your camera and microphone only to perform the pre-call checks, and only while the check window is open:
- Your camera feed is shown to you as a live preview and analyzed on your Mac and Windows PC to estimate framing and lighting. It is never recorded, saved, or transmitted.
- Your microphone is used to show a live level meter, to measure background noise, and for the optional "Say something" test. The short test clip is held only in memory so it can be played back to you immediately, and is then discarded. Nothing from your microphone is recorded, saved, or transmitted.
When you close or hide the window, GreenSignal stops using the camera and microphone.
Network
To estimate your connection quality, GreenSignal times a few small requests to well-known connectivity
endpoints operated by Google (www.gstatic.com) and Cloudflare (cloudflare.com). These are standard reachability checks: no personal information
is sent, and we don't receive the results (they're measured on your Mac and Windows PC). GreenSignal makes
no other network requests, has no analytics, and does not check in with us.
On-device settings
Your preferences (selected devices, theme, launch-at-login, and similar) are stored locally on your Mac and Windows PC. They are not sent to us.
Third parties
We do not sell or share your data, because we don't collect it. The only third parties involved are the network endpoints listed above (Google and Cloudflare for reachability, and our hosting/CDN provider for update downloads), each governed by their own privacy practices.
Children
GreenSignal is a general-audience utility and is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect any information from anyone.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update the effective date above and post the new version at this page.
